It was brought by a priests from mexico to the Philippines 2 centuries ago.During San Nazareno Festival (January9)a big procession is held , many of the devotees claimed that having touched the NaZAreno well their illness, that even a little touch can do many miracles.DIBA some time ago NOli De Castro was caught in a cameras hurdling the carriage of the NAzareno,today he is such a succesful man.My grandmother used to tell me that she credited her sons& daughters to San Nazareno ...sapagkat may kamalasan daw siya sa panganganak iyung "3 cute eldest babies"were all toppled down during her early pregnancy, kaya pumunta siya ng QUIAPO para humingi ng tulong kay BLACK NAZARENE and now 50 years has passed look she has 5 beuatiful&handsome children na lahat professional and 3 of them had worked abroad...grabe talaga ang biyaya na natanggap niya from HIM.(thanks! For me the Black Nazarene symbolizes Jesus carries youre cross even if youre a devotee or not he would hear your prayers, THE meaning of his endless carrying of cross was to show his love for us that if you turn on him kahit ano pang bigat ang cross na dinadala mo HE will offer himself and carry it instead para wala ka nang burden na dadalhin.kahit na mahirapan pa siya (3x siya na dapa diba sa sobrang bigat)From his statue we can realize ano bang ibig sabihin ng Black Nazarene sa buhay ko? Papasanin niya lahat alang -alang sa pag-ibig o Dapat gayahin natin siya instead na magreklamo eh carry na lang our cross.
Kawawa naman ang Diyos diba?kung lagi na lang siya?
